NORTHWOODS ENSEMBLE

Northwoods Tango Ensemble is an audition-based group that studies and performs the music of iconic tango composers and bandleaders from the golden age of tango music.

Northwoods Ensemble is a high-level entry point for musicians interested in studying and performing tango music. The group meets weekly during our seasons, performs for milongas and concerts, and specializes in deep dives into the music of composers like Carlos Di Sarli, Rodolfo Biagi, Juan D’Arienzo, Miguel Caló, Enrique Rodriguez, Aníbal Troilo, and many others from the golden age of tango music. This ensemble is a great place to connect with other tango musicians that are instigating new projects, and is also a working ensemble in its own right.
