Twin Cities Tango Collective is a program of community tango orchestras in Minneapolis / St Paul.
We are building a new and inclusive community of tango musicians at Center For Performing Arts in South Minneapolis. TCTC welcomes musicians that play violin, viola, cello, bass, piano, flute, clarinet, saxophone, bandoneon, accordion, guitar, or vocals. No previous knowledge of the style is required, we welcome absolutely everyone from all backgrounds. Community Tango Ensemble holds no auditions, simply sign up and you’re in. Northwoods Tango Ensemble is an audition based ensemble. Seasons last 8 weeks and culminate in a performance to celebrate music, friends, and community.
TCTC CONCERT and MILONGA is our closing event for each season: a seated concert (7-8pm) that opens up into a milonga afterwards (8-10:30pm) with both live music sets and recorded tango tandas.
Tickets are available at the door as well but are limited to capacity of the room. Best way to guarantee tickets are to buy them online ahead of time!
Seating is open, doors open at 6:30pm. Enter the building from 38th street entrance, first room on your left.
